Poem for Today
Changed
When you became no longer shy,
Doing the slight acts of life in front of me,
Changing openly at the foot of the bed,
Brushing your hair in the kitchen,
Pulling on the old, and secret clothes that you liked best,
I knew I had set you free again.
When you read me your poems,
With no fear or embarrassment,
In a round voice ,
To make me understand,
I felt like I was in your family.
Even being so in love,
It doesn't stop me seeing,
That you are something new everyday.
