Looking Out My Backdoor...
Nothing like flying in a helicopter...Here is the view from the rear gunner.
On a clear day you can see off into the haze of the distance and wonder what you are doing here.
Hi Army guy, The title of your post made me think of the CCR song, "Lookin' Out My Back Door." Watch out for the tambourines and elephants dancing on the lawn. I guess a helicopter makes a better office than a boring cubicle! Enjoy the view and try not to wonder too hard, it makes your head hurt.
The caption and picture caught my eye, I am wasting time reading blogs when I came across yours. I read "Waiting" and liked it. Your world is so far away from mine. My reality is cold and wind and stark forests, books and papers, comforting children and home-cooked meals, so vastly different and yet your words rang within me. Life is being present to all around us, seeing beauty even in the hardship, in the honorable duty that you are performing. I will pray for you. Thank you for all you do and the others by your side.
